Just completed another project using 16nm finfet process using Laker3 tools and soon to move back to Virtuoso XL. Layout included full custom design of 1channel serializer loop back design, 2to1 mux, 10to2 mux, buffers, ibias, matching common mode block, include double patterning, and toplevel dcaps and fill with all verification complete. finfet is a challenging process, but as a team we have completed the first tapeout of full custom 16nm chip a Marvell. 16nm finfet tsmc layout. Designing standard cell custom cells that need to fit with the standards, and also designing full custom designs for an HDMI chip. With 837 pages of the design rules, this is the most challenging process,Worked on 28nm 8Metal HDMI RX and TX blocks Responsibilities include block level equalizer, PI, 2to10, 1to2, and other related designs.. Tasks include the floorplanning of the entire 3 stage blocks that interfaced with external pads, regulator and common layout, toplevel interconnect and verification at all levels with Caliber and Lakers.hdmi40nm shrink to 28nnhdmiLP equalizer design. Previous design was a phy28 nm differential buffer circuit for cable driving, signal buffering and signal repeating application . Needed to add more stages and reconstruct in 28nm dual process tsmc/hpmPrevious blocks include pi filter circuit, dcc and eq blocks in 40nmSolarflare sold the PHY group to Marvell for the 10Gbase product in 40nm process.Have worked on a PGA, ADC, in 28nm tsmc process

Worked on layout chips in the first CMOS designs on anything from Mattel games to NASA government top Secret satellite chips.

Wonderful company to work and grow at.Entire RF group was disolved. Still working with many of my peers from WD and enjoying it.

Started my career at the Newport Beach Office.Worked my way up, from assembler connector to Principal layout designer.
