Focused on continuous improvement of the delivery of education services in culturally responsive schools and other education settings. Responsible for operation and management of the school. This position provides an amazing opportunity to work with and influence students, faculty, support staff, parents, community, businesses, legislators, central office, specialist and others supporting and invested in our youth of today. Students are faced with a number of barriers that impact their ability to be fully present in the classroom. Key to student success is making sure the school environment is safe, faculty implement best research-based practice, offering a challenging and rigorous curriculum, racial equity, diverse extra-curricular activities and adults that care and listen to students-guiding them. As a school leader, employs a transformation and servant leadership style to insure that all students are provided support, and opportunities, that prepares them to be thinkers in a competitive global world. Also, plan and coordinate professional development in: Cognitive Coaching, Culturally Responsive Classroom, EnVoy, Postive Behavior Intervention, Reading Strategies, Professional Learning Community, Data Analysis, Standard-Based Grading, Technology for Instruction, Classroom Management, Understanding Kids in Proverty, Special Education Due Process, STEM, Effective Parent-Teacher Conference, Differentiation in Instruction, School to Work, and Assessment for Learning and Mindset. Collaborated with Brooklyn Park Police to develop a program that address the whole child during normal developmental stages of adolescent. Responsible and engaged in parent forum, parent- community talks, speaking to groups on various topics in education and preparing students for future employment, parent advisory committee and public relations.

Responsible for school operation and management. Planned transition from Junior HIgh School to Middle School. Facilitated school operation and management. Researched and developed transitions from elementary to high school and beyond that discussed framework and components necessary for a positive and smooth transition at each level. Developed a core equity team to provide leadership in transitioning faculty and staff through courageous conversation about race and culturally responsive classrooms. Designed an after-school program that focused on improving the achievement gap with Black and brown students and other subgroups. Participants did not pass MCA, unsatisfactory grades, showed minimum academic growth and six or more student discipline referrals.Successfully identified gap in students knowledge and application of information. Closed identified learning deficit.
