Developer for the open source ePortfolio platform Mahara. Tertiary and vocational education institutions around the world use Mahara as a tool for their students to collect, organise and submit evidence of projects they've been working on towards their assessments. Mahara is a 'private by default' platform which makes it a great option for students to submit work digitally. It's great to be part of the team that maintains Mahara, because I believe it has great potential for providing students with flexibility in how they demonstrate their learning, whilst still being robust and manageable for teachers in a digital learning context. In my role as a developer I am mainly involved in bug fixing, testing, upgrading and developing small features, as well as assisting with some client support requests. I have also been involved in improving our site's compliance with WCAG 2.1 Accessibility standards. I'm learning huge amounts everyday and very grateful to be a part of a supportive team. You can check out our demo site to explore Mahara yourself: https://demo.mahara.org/You can also learn more about the Mahara's open souce community here: https://mahara.org/
