Profile bio

About Dianne Turgeon Richardson

I am a highly accomplished and team-oriented marketing communications professional adept at crafting solutions-driven content. I have several years of experience in proposal development/management and content creation in the AEC industry with advanced knowledge of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water sectors. During this time, I helped develop and then deliver a technical writing curriculum for junior engineers and technical staff as well as a technical writing refresher and training for project managers on leading group writing projects. I began my proposal writing career in the federal services contracting industry, supporting business development efforts in the functional areas of IM/IT, medical and biomedical R&D, base and range operations, telecommunications, professional services, and emergency management and response. With an educational background in both STEM and the humanities, I can flex to shifting requirements and deadlines in high-intensity, dynamic work environments for strategic advantage. My writing experience also includes professional editing, publishing, web content creation, teaching, and tutoring. I spent three years as a professor of freshman composition at the University of Central Florida and remain active in the academic sphere as a member of the Creative Writing Program Advisory Council (CWPAC) at Full Sail University.I am an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and serve the SMPS Central Florida Chapter Programs Committee as the Program Chair for Water/Wastewater.In my off time, I also engage in creative writing pursuits and maintain a presence in Orlando’s vibrant literary scene. I have published short fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry in several print and online magazines and literary journals, including Cooweescoowee, Sundog Lit, the Christian Century, Glass Poetry, and the Florida Review, among others. My writing has garnered several awards, including being a finalist in Jasper magazine’s One Book, One Poem contest and more recently as a runner-up in the City of Orlando’s Words & Wonders poetry contest. I am currently the co-host of Loose Lips, a monthly reading series that takes place in Orlando’s Mills 50 District.I have two young children, a cat, and (un)healthy obsessions with Star Wars and college football.

Listed skills include Editing, Writing, Creative Writing, Instruction, and 19 others.
