Marissa D. Email and Phone Number
I am a passionate mental health advocate and victims’ advocate, committed to supporting individuals who have experienced trauma. Since 2019, I have worked in nonprofit mental health, advocating for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and suicide prevention. My mission is to ensure everyone has access to compassionate care, support, and the resources they need to heal.My advocacy is also deeply personal. As a survivor of rape and domestic violence, I understand firsthand the challenges that survivors face. My lived experience fuels my passion for helping others navigate their own journeys to healing. I know how isolating and overwhelming trauma can feel, and I am committed to creating safe spaces where survivors feel heard, validated, and empowered to rebuild their lives.Advocating for survivors is at the heart of what I do. Sexual assault, domestic violence, and struggles with suicidal thoughts are often met with silence. I am committed to breaking that silence by offering survivors a voice and a path to healing. My goal is to ensure that no one faces their trauma alone and that they feel supported throughout their recovery journey.Suicide prevention has become a critical part of my advocacy. Untreated mental health struggles claim too many lives, and I work tirelessly to reduce the stigma surrounding suicide. Through education, outreach, and connecting individuals with life-saving resources, I aim to prevent loss and foster hope for those at risk.Beyond individual advocacy, I focus on systemic change. I am passionate about raising awareness of the need for accessible mental health services and survivor support, both locally and nationwide. Through campaigns, community initiatives, and collaboration with organizations, I strive to build a more inclusive, supportive environment for all. I believe that we can create stronger communities by prioritizing mental health and addressing trauma with compassion and understanding.I am inspired by the resilience of survivors and those struggling with suicidal thoughts. Their strength fuels my work and reminds me why mental health advocacy is so crucial. Mental health and trauma recovery are journeys no one should walk alone, and I am honored to stand alongside those who need it most, helping them find the support and resources they deserve. My commitment is unwavering: to be a voice for the voiceless, to push for systemic change, and to ensure that everyone knows they matter. Together, we can create a more compassionate and supportive world, where healing and hope are possible for all.
