In charge of building and grounds maintenance and doing what ever I please whenever I please. In other words retired. :) But I still love engineering and manufacturing.

- Responsible for; cost reduction, new product implementation, special-order cost estimation, and capital equipment justification. - Served as technical liaison to the Purchasing Manager and assisted with the procurement of Laser cut and formed component parts.- Participated in the development and administration of the plant safety program.- Developed and maintained plant drawings for the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and Hazardous Waste Handbook. Maintained waste disposal records and compiled data for environmental and OSHA reporting.

- Responsible for the start up and operation of a new and growing Laser job shop.- Prepared quotations, performed CAD/CAM programming, determined material and consumables requirements, procured steel, other raw materials and consumables, scheduled work, tracked charges, prepared invoicing information and arranged for shipment or delivery of customer orders.

- Reviewed Department of Defense (DoD) contract solicitations to identify process, equipment, personnel and facility requirements. - Served as engineering liaison to Stockton, CA plant.- Supervised start-up of new projects. - Provided producibility counsel to design engineers.

- Supervised a four man field service staff, responsible for the installation, start up, operator training, and after sales service of special machinery and CNC Abrasive Waterjet Systems.- Conducted factory training of programmers, operators and maintenance personnel.- Coordinated the shipment and return of warranty and service parts. - Performed test cuts on various materials to determine application suitability, limitations, and operating parameters of the AWJ process. Purchased AWJ system components and spare parts.

- Responsible for the supervision of a four man tool room and two man tool crib providing the build, procurement, and maintenance of jigs, fixtures, dies, gages, special machines, perishable tooling and coolants.- Specified cutting tools and application parameters.- Investigated machining and tooling problems and initiated corrective actions.- Served on J.I.T. committee responsible for set up time reduction, work simplification and productivity improvement of machining operations.

- Supervised two person tool design department.- Estimated tooling costs, prepared product tooling budgets and appropriation requisitions.- Investigated tooling problems and initiated corrective actions.

- Designed jigs, fixtures, dies and gages and special machines.- Assisted supervisor with cost estimates and sub contracting of work.

- Served four year Tool and Die Maklers Apprenticeship.- Fabricated and maintained jigs, fixtures, dies, gauges, special machines and prototype parts per prints, sketches and verbal instructions.- Served as lead toolmaker on large projects.
