Richard Smith oversees origination of all non-investment grade products across all industries. He sits on the management committees for Mizuho Securities USA and Mizuho Bank USA, as well as the Fixed Income Commitments Committee and the Fixed Income Operating Committee. As Head of Leveraged Capital Markets, Richard is responsible for a team of professionals with over 120 years of leveraged finance experience and a strong depth of knowledge across the industrial, energy and TMT sectors. Under his leadership, Mizuho’s Leveraged Capital Markets platform has transformed substantially from a small player in the leveraged finance space to a bank with left lead capabilities across all products.
