Since starting The Axelrod Group, I have had the privilege of working with many Fortune 100 clients to create collaborative change projects. This work involved employee involvement and quality of work life initiatives, as well as creating team-based organizations. More recently, our work has focused on designing high-involvement systemic change processes in both the profit and not-for-profit sectors. In 1990, Emily and I developed the internationally recognized Conference Model process for high-engagement change. This approach has been successfully applied to redesign organizations, facilitate mergers, create strategic plans, and improve patient care. Additionally, I have been involved in projects as varied as how to make the matrix organization work, creating a vision for North American Reform Judaism, training and developing HR business partners within organizations, improving patient care, and advancing public schools.I like consulting engagements where the answers are not obvious.
