Sogeti is a technology firm in 15 countries. Sogeti UK specialises in software testing and had 300+ employees.. When the new team joined in spring 2014, the HR function had a terrible reputation – unresponsive, poor data and regular payroll errors. We didn’t know precisely how many employees we had or whether they had the right to work in the UK. We were late with pay and benefits renewal and pension autoenrolment. Cases had been outstanding for months, even years.Since then, we have transformed practice in training, appraisal, benefits, pay planning, data management, pensions, absence management, communications, engagement, succession and career development. Costs have been reduced by outsourcing and system improvements. On resourcing, we ran a TUPE transfer and hired colleagues from Capgemini India on secondments to the UK. The HR function is now seen as an exemplar.

Created a learning curriculum for Capgemini's outsourcing business leading to tangible business improvement. Teambuilding, certification, training design and delivery, budget management etc. The learning interventions transformed the business and delivered significant results.Created learning curricula for Capgemini's sales talent and associates sales support, sales management etc. This included running a competency-based certification programme and running prestige events for top sales performers. I created a substantial e=learning suite, bringing sales training to many more than had access before.Took on responsibly for Capgemini University’s physical and virtual events. Using new media and traditional communication skill to inspire and develop talent. Building and running virtual, classroom, competency-based and academy style programmes. I ran the HR function for a technology business unit, providing the full range of HR services. As part of the HR team for the Business Development Profession, I selected the sales method to use and managed its supplier; co-created the competency models for all sales roles; established new means to getting learning opportunities to a busy sales & account management population, and used innovative communication to build and develop the sales organization. I ran the development programme for new management consultants, built training curricula for many roles and introduced new learning models & methods. I ran the Internal Communications function for all Capgemini in the UK, re-energized communications to increase employee engagement.
