About Dick De Groot
Dick de Groot (1948) has a wide and diverse range of experience as a geography teacher; vice-principal and principal; member and president of a number of boards of social and cultural institutions; educational researcher; senior education consultant; and process manager. He work 1973 as researcher in Tunesia and teacher / acting vice principal in secondary education in Zambia from 1975-1977. He continued from 1977-2001 as teacher, vice-principal and principal in secondary education in The Netherlands. In 2001 he joint Board and Management Consultants (BMC) as a senior education consultant. From 1996 he was involved as educator/trainer/researcher in Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, Palestine (West Bank), Kenya and Sri Lanka. Since 1997 he is promoting the ubuntu philosophy. Presently, he is storyteller/researcher for The Earth Stories Collection and member of Earth Charter Netherlands and Worldconnectors. In 2021 he published 'The Elegy of the Earth'.
