Since a young age I enjoyed leadership roles, this made me understand how to treat people with respect and how to motivate others in order to achieve an objective. I am a mechanical engineering student at the University of Texas. I am eager to secure challenging roles in mechanical engineering.In my junior year of my degree I undertook a summer internship at a aerospace material distribution company in Arlington Tx. I was delighted to be presented with the opportunity to utilise the skills gained during my studies to solve problems in the aerospace engineering world. During the course of this internship, I played a key role in supporting the Texas division with operations as well as other aspects of the company. One of my biggest accomplishments in the organization was engineering a more efficient system of shipping plastic components saving upwards of $300 dollars per order, as well as 6-10 mins faster.My studies have provided me with broad proficiency in the use of mechanical engineering methods, tools, software packages and techniques. Alongside this, I have developed exceptional communication skills while delivering a presentation with the senior leadership team of the company.
