As a principal software engineer in the company I'm responsible for leading my teams to the successful delivery of products, coaching and mentoring engineers, shaping the architecture of the products, championing agile methodologies, and as well being the engineering point of contact for the product team and leadership, assisting them in making strategic decision regarding technology, resources and planning. I report to and assist the Director of engineering with resource allocation, weekly project status updates and the continuous review of best practices for the engineering department.I led and am leading the teams that were responsible for the successful releases of major long-term projects, including the complete rewrite of a core legacy application with modern frontend development standards, the architecture and creation of a starter package based on Contentful, NextJS and Vercel, and the complete rewrite of a major lead generation website with the same stack.During the life-span of these projects I also created many proof of concept applications to assist the planning of future products as well as helping the team with challenging technical decisions. I also created the full architecture of the main authentication gateway that's going to be used by most public facing web applications within the Agora group (project still in the development phase at the time of writing).
