Dieter Thompson has been a major force in the telecommunications and IT industry since 1988. During his 29-year career, he has held numerous leadership positions and launched multiple businesses that have helped shape the industry, create jobs, and improve processes. Today Dieter serves as ISG Global President of Network and Software Services.As President of Alsbridge from 2013 through 2016, Dieter managed all aspects of service delivery, business functions and the P&L supporting over 300 associates across six major Services Lines ranging from Network, Benchmarking, Managed Services, Outsourcing and RPA. During this time Dieter also had global responsibilities which included managing a fifty person Captive in India. Dieter was part of the Executive team that acquired Source in the UK and he launched a business in Australia & New Zealand to support Alsbridge’s Global expansion. During his tenure as President, Alsbridge’s revenue grew from $35M to $67M. Dieter also served as a Member of the Alsbridge Board of Directors during that period of time.The beginning of his career was spent with AT&T, where he contributed to the traditional connectivity environment in various capacities over a nine-year period. After AT&T, he helped pioneer the development of an asset exchange approach using telecommunications credits and “non-performing” assets associated with Fortune 500 companies and large money center banks. Dieter also co-founded a consulting company focused on procurement and vendor management in the IT arena. He sold the business to ACS, a Fortune 500 outsourcing company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, in 1998 where he served as Vice President of Network Sales and Advisory Services for two and a half years.
