For over 15 years, I, have engaged exclusively in the practice of digital forensics. As the CEO of Garrett Discovery, I lead one of the nation’s largest digital forensic firms, with offices and staff throughout the United States. Prior to founding Garrett Discovery, my distinguished career path included roles at the US Navy, Naval Research Lab at NASA, Space and Warfare, as well as serving as the director of the eDiscovery Lab for the Air Force. I have solidified my position as a respected digital forensic expert. My professional influence reaches beyond national boundaries, with court testimonies given in federal, state, tribunal, and military courts across 49 states and numerous countries. My areas of expertise encompass Cellular Data Analysis, Computer and Cell Phone Forensics, as well as Peer-to-Peer Forensics.

As President of Digital Forensic Community I work with a Board of Directors to guide the development of the Digital Forensic Community through education, sharing, networking opportunities and access to tools in order to perform digital forensics.

Garrett was previously employed by a premier federal contractor for the Department of Defense as the eDiscovery Principal charged with design, staff training and management of the largest eDiscovery practice in the US for the Joint Unified Commands at USTRANSCOM supporting the Air Force Office of Litigation. This single practice is one of the largest collection platforms known by any of the top eDiscovery software vendors. Garrett was responsible for coordinating with the Department of Justice (DOJ) on round table sessions to change the eDiscovery guidelines used by DOJ and the US Attorneys. Mr. Garrett's meetings with the DOJ, proposed recommendations and changes were well accepted and many adopted. Garrett served as an interim Board member of a large tech company that developed emerging technologies in the fields of automation, GPS and mobile.

Mr. Garrett solely started a group that led IT professionals in the reserves to successfully become a great asset of the Active Navy known as Task Force IT (TFIT). Also Garrett was honored with the 'Bluejacket of the Year' award as one of the five highest rated sailors in the world. Garrett's assignments included duty on USS Saratoga (Middle East), NASA, Space and Warfare and Naval Research Laboratory. Mr. Garrett's duty included locating new technologies for the DOD to use in the field and briefing staff on new technologies in surveillance, computer networking and communications systems.
