The overarching assignment of the Ad Hoc group was-• Undertake an analysis of existing community-based animal health workers’ training and implementation models worldwide and their related curricular requirements for animal health and production. • Develop WOAH Guidelines on the competencies of community-based animal health workers in different standardized categories to ensure quality National Veterinary Services. • Develop WOAH Guidelines on the minimum curricular requirements for community-based animal health workers, • Undertake consultation with relevant stakeholders on the role of community-based animal health workers globally; and • Advocate for the implementation of WOAH Guidelines relating to community-based animal health workers for all WOAH Members through engagement with national Veterinary Services and Veterinary Statutory Bodies.
