I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in May of 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I also graduated from Nashville State Community College in May of 2014 with an Associate's Degree in Engineering. Both of which were received with honors (Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude respectively). I have around 7 years of engineering experience between research and development (R&D) at ORNL, manufacturing work done at Lochinvar, and R&D work at Comefri USA, Inc. The last 2 years have been in a supervisory capacity overseeing the R&D lab at Comefri.I am a talented CAD user with about 3 years of SolidWorks experience including modeling with sheet metal and large assemblies. I have +5 years experience in AutoDesk Inventor including simulation software, Simulation Mechanical (separate companion program) and Nastran In-CAD (integrated add in). I also have some experience with AutoCAD (2D) and SolidEdge. I have used SolidWorks in conjunction with SAP PLM software and SolidEdge in conjunction with Agile PLM software. I possess a high mechanical aptitude and proficiency with small hand tools, assorted power tools, some heavy machinery, and an assortment of electrical equipment including AC motors. I have machine shop training, some education in automotive shop, extensive experience in a laboratory environment, and some experience in a manufacturing environment. I am computer literate and use Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook) very well. I also have some programming exposure primarily through Matlab and some G-code modification with 3D printers.

Laboratory Engineering SupervisorComefri Usa, Inc. Oct 2019 - Feb 2022Hopkinsville, Kentucky, United StatesI oversaw AMCA certified airflow performance and sound testing and prepared the in depth data analysis of the results. I also maintained the testing schedule, trained and managed the laboratory personnel, and worked closely with internal production and external customers to see projects through to their conclusion. -
Product Application EngineerComefri Usa Inc Oct 2016 - Oct 2019Hopkinsville, KyProvided AMCA certified airflow performance and sound testing accompanied by in depth data analysis for assorted centrifugal fans both housed and or plenum, axial fans, complete air handlers, and industrial units used in various commercial HVAC and Industrial applications. Testing capabilities included both AMCA figure 12 or figure 15 for airflow and inlet, outlet, and or radiated sound testing with octave band spectrums, overall sound, narrow band frequencies, and discrete tones. I tested units ranging from single 11 in diameter plenums to 15 ton air handlers with volumetric flows ranging between 1,000 and +100,000 cfm at static pressures between 0 and 10 in wg. Special setups could allow for higher airflows and pressures as needed with more and more versatility added routinely. Power supplies included 120V single phase, 230V single phase, 208V 3 phase, 230V 3 phase, 400V 3 phase, and 480V 3 phase but limited to 125HP and less than 200A maximum. -
Cad OperatorLochinvar, Llc Oct 2015 - Jun 2016300 Maddox-Simpson Pkwy, Lebanon, Tn, 37090I performed model changes and mechanical drawing updates to reflect changes requested by manufacturing/engineering. I was also responsible for updating this data within the SAP PLM system used by the company. Major projects include the completed mass conversion of the Squire Indirect Water Heaters and Storage Units from SolidEdge models/assemblies to workable SolidWorks models/assemblies (while reconciling all outstanding errors or inconsistencies seen in models/assemblies/prints in the process) and the completion of a large PLM cleanup of the 65 Gallon Shield CE Unit (which included fixing models/parts/prints and removing erroneously created duplicate PLM entries caused by multiple data loads). -
Research And Development InternOak Ridge National Laboratory Aug 2014 - Aug 20151 Bethel Valley Rd, Oak Ridge, Tn, 37831I worked on fiber length distribution and fiber orientation analysis of fiber-reinforced thermoplastics used in injection molded parts used within the automotive industry. Fiber length distribution analysis included cutting of samples, fabrication of cages for samples, removal of matrix material using high temperature furnaces, fiber extraction using epoxy, removal of epoxy using high temperature furnaces, dispersion of fibers, and imaging of fibers using a high resolution image scanner and corresponding software. Fiber orientation analysis included rough cutting of samples, fine cutting of samples using specialized diamond saws, mounting samples with epoxy, grinding and polishing mounted samples, etching of samples, and both low and high resolution microscope imaging of the prepared samples. -
Research And Development InternOak Ridge National Laboratory Jun 2014 - Aug 20141 Bethel Valley Rd, Oak Ridge, Tn, 37831I worked with additive manufacturing on both small scale commercial 3D printers and their experimental large scale 3D printer called the Big Area Additive Manufacturing machine (BAAM). I used SolidWorks to make 3D models of parts. I used Repetier host to convert .STL files to G-code that would be used by the printers to make the parts. I also worked on two major projects while there. The first of which was working to provide structural health monitoring of parts made with large scale additive manufacturing by enclosing strain gauges in between layers of material. The second of which was working on the large scale assembly of the new print bed for the BAAM that included adjustable z height, heated print surfaces, and individually leveled print regions. This included physical assembly of the 80-20 aluminum frame, sub-assemblies of each of the 16 heated platens, the print bed consisting of the 16 platens, and the motor to the drive shafts. It also included all electrical wiring (thermocouples and power supplies) from the silicon heating pads of each platen to the control box. -
Store ManagerSport Seasons Apr 2010 - Aug 2014Assorted Locations In Tn (Antioch, Murfreesboro, Knoxville)I was responsible for task delegation and time management for the staff. Daily tasks included opening procedures (counting, making deposits, etc), handling of inbound and outbound stock, pulling stock for transfer to other stores, store maintenance, adjustments to store layout, customer service, and closing procedures (counting, sending DCR, etc). Providing quality customer service and maintaining a cohesive team environment were critical aspects of the job.
