A Journey of Growth and AmbitionMy career journey began at the age of 14. Driven by a desire (not out of necessity) for financial independence, I sought part-time work to earn my own living. After high school, I moved to Florida, taking on construction jobs and eventually transitioning to a role in advertising and marketing.However, my heart always leads back to Texas. Once home and joined RoomStore as a furniture builder. Through hard work and dedication, I quickly advanced to forklift operator and in-store transfer specialist. However, the company's financial difficulties led me to seek new opportunities.At Cott Beverages, I leveraged my previous experiences to secure three promotions within a year. This period also marked a turning point in my life as I decided to pursue higher education. Balancing full-time work and college was challenging, but my determination to expand my knowledge and skills kept me motivated.My employment at PlainsCapital Bank exposed me to the world of accounting, igniting a passion that led me to change my major to accounting and transfer to UTD. As a dedicated student, I was actively involved in academic organizations like Beta Alpha Psi and Phi Theta Kappa. I have since earned my bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting. This journey, filled with unexpected twists and turns, has shaped me into the ambitious individual I am today. I am excited to embark on a fulfilling career in accounting and contribute my skills and knowledge to the professional world.
