This colossal undertaking involves the consolidation of 34 global data centers into the Cloud, while simultaneously orchestrating a comprehensive re-architecture of the integrated systems. Led the Cisco Cloud Professional Services Migration team, overseeing the migration of clients from traditional data centers to the cloud (Azure/AWS). This involved migrating compute, application, storage, and network components from traditional colocation data centers to the cloud through partnerships with Azure and AWS. As the single point of contact for business and technology teams, I established scope and guidelines, conducted infrastructure discovery and application dependency analysis, determined business requirements, and identified migration strategies. Additionally, I negotiated schedules, provided ongoing program coordination, and played a key role in the design, planning, and execution of migration plans. I tracked all applications scheduled for migration, coordinated customer change management, and led weekly program status meetings with senior management, business, and technology teams. Close coordination with SAs, DBAs, Middleware, implementation engineers, and network and storage architects ensured successful migrations on time, within budget, and with zero defects.

Designed, built, and operated ten (10) Internet data centers distributed nationwide, serving over 1500 major accounts, including the world's top two (2) e-commerce companies, and government institutions. Managed 18 direct reports and was responsible for over 160 technical staff members. Provided strategic and tactical leadership services for a wide array of challenges related to managing a $470 million annual operational budget. Led laboratory performance testing for new technologies being introduced into the wireless carrier market. Responsible for software and hardware release management into the Sprint production network and for ensuring SDLC components were fully documented in accordance with ISO 9000 and SOX. Led senior research engineers to develop automated testing strategies, network configurations, traffic flow modeling, and making mission critical recommendations to Network Operations and Strategic Planning executive groups.

Collaborated directly with CEO, venture capitalists, and branding consultants on strategic product positioning and offshore software development process management in a fast-paced, internationally present pre-IPO start-up environment.

Directed and oversaw architecture for 21 government data centers; included building design, construction, mechanical–electrical plant commissioning, and network infrastructure design based on SLDC methodologies. Collaborated with high-level executives at the Federal Reserve to determine technical requirements and effectively communicate the transition between business and technical requirements. Maintained overall responsibility for 99.999% uptime of extensive, distributed data server farms for US Military Command. Liaised with Business Units to ensure customer satisfaction.
