Organized accommodations with special arrangements for visiting celebrities, journalists, corporate VIP’s, contest winners and handled prize donations. The hotel was part of the first wave of revitalizing Harbourfront from industrial to residential and commercial district. It was the first Hilton hotel to locate in the city. As part of a property swap in 1987, Hilton Hotels exchanged the property for the Westin Hotel on University Avenue. The Harbour Castle became a part of the Westin Hotel chain, and the old Westin became the Hilton Toronto.
