Developed a costing model used for design and optimization of a 135 MW conceptual IGFC power plant.Initiated trade studies to assess feasibility of inclusion of a High Temperature Air Combustion (HiTAC) burner for SOFC system applications.

Development and enhancement of a Real-Time operating 1-D Transient Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) model capable of coupling with operating hardware to characterize actual operation via Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation (HILS). Led a team of undergraduate researchers responsibile for executing supporting empirical design trade studies

Designed and conducted validating experiments for a prospective catalyst for a SNG refinery off gas plant. Scope of study included IP landscaping, Experimental plan development and DOE execution, laboratory modification plan and data reduction and analysis software development.

Developed and validated the SpaciMS system which was used to internally characterize a rhodium based partial oxidation fuel reformation for integration into an on-board hydrogen production device for automotive applications.
