- Cross-sectoral support and representation of the Directorate in various forums, working groups and committees of European Institutions (European Parliament, European Commission) as well as stakeholder associations (e.g. European Aluminium, Eurometaux, COGEN Europe, Hydrogen Europe) -Closely monitoring and reporting on the political, legislative and regulatory work of EU institutions on significant industrial, trade, energy & climate related dossiers (e.g. Taxonomy, RED, European Climate Law, CBAM, Circular Economy, EED, EU ETS, Hydrogen Strategy, IED) as well as their implementation at national level.- Full monitoring, reporting and liaising with key national stakeholders on the regulatory and legislative process around key energy & environmental issues such as the new RES & energy storage licensing framework, the Offshore wind framework, the National Climate Law, the Greek wholesale electricity market, the Greek natural gas market- Drafting position papers at EU & national energy related public consultations e.g. the electricity Target Model (RAE, ADMIE), the Greek gas system (DESFA), the legislative work around the “Fit For 55” package (EC, ENTSO-E, ENTSO-G, ACER)- Following State Aid energy related policies & legislation (GBER, EEAG) implemented at national & European level and building expertise on EU funding programs & policy instruments e.g. Innovation Fund, Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF), REPowerEU- In-depth analysis and debriefing on the latest developments around energy wholesale markets, new energy model reports & forthcoming energy solutions
