Well, as a Clinical Geneticist, I consider it my job to take all the new developments in population, basic, and molecular genetics and apply them to the human disorders, diseases, and conditions. And while being a diagnostician of complex rare disorders will continue to be a challenge, as the multiple pathways, modifying genes, and variants become better defined and transgenerational effects better understood, research on therapies and natural history will be as vital as ever.
