Product Manager
CurrentWorking as a Product Person at a Software Engineering Consultancy involves delivering software and being part of the strategy team for our clients. Each client presents a unique set of challenges related to people, processes, and technology. Below, there's a summary of my main experieces as product personProduct 1 (Nov22 - Present): United State based client (routine in English - Portuguese). The project has high management complexity, with a big team and group of stakeholders. The client is new to agile, and the technical team has low seniority. The focus is on adjusting stakeholders to healthier and more efficient product operations. This involves fostering communication to align delivery expectations, clarifying business rules, and facilitating information conversion to achieve the product vision.. The current challenge is to have clarity on the product strategy and influence it in future releases. (5 months - present)Product 2 (Nov 21 - Nov 22): United States based client (routine in English - Portuguese). The context of the product had low management complexity due to a small team, and the client had little to no knowledge of agile practices but was open to our approach. Initially, there was low clarity on the product strategy, as the client's goals were too generic. However, we achieved control of the product strategy based on product data analysis through MixPanel. The client readily accepted research-based work, and our squad quickly gained trust to drive strategy. Our business's most significant achievement with this approach was an increase in revenue, while users experienced improved task completion times in the product.
