I'm a Chartered Engineer who's been working on highway operations and intelligent transport systems (ITS) for private and public clients across the UK for 22 years. I'm the Head of Capability for Highways Technology, leading our Operational Safety; ITS Solutions and Electrical and Power teams. I'm currently a project manager as part of the Strategic Solutions Team, delivering wastewater treatment improvements for United Utilities. I was the Solution Delivery Lead for Jacobs' work with United Utilities' Dynamic Network Management programme. This programme utilises the Jacobs Aqua DNA platform to predict the risks of waste water spilling, allowing proactive resolution.I was the Technical Solution Owner for the DHS Enhancements programme for the Smart Motorway Alliance, having previously been responsible for the development of the operations and technology designs on several smart motorway schemes.I was involved in delivering technology solutions for Manchester Airport; led the technology for the motorway amendments for Heathrow Expansion and; delivered proposals for the Greater Manchester Clean Air Plan for TfGM.I project managed the design and development of the new Traffic Scotland Control Centre, as part of the Forth Replacement Crossing project; project managed the development and management of National Highways' Technology Performance Management Service (TPMS), the asset and fault database for all roadside technology assets and; project managed the development of National Highways' original Digital Camera Enforcement System (HADECS) through to Home Office Type Approval and through its first deployment, as part of the M42 Active Traffic Management Pilot.I'm also a property investor and a personal finance enthusiast.
