...Closing the gap between Sport and Education...Professor at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Dino Ruta conducts research, training and consulting, supporting executives and entrepreneurs in key decision-making processes, both in corporate and sports contexts. His professional activities focus on innovating sports and events ecosystem by generating positive legacies, through human and social capital development methodologies exploiting new technologies. He is known internationally particularly in North America, Europe and Middle East on topics as: Sport and Events Leadership, Athletes’ Management, Sports Ecosystems, Olympic Movement, Sports Innovation and Sustainability, Impacts and Legacy.In 2013, he founded the Sport & Entertainment Knowledge Center at SDA Bocconi. He is Academic Director of Executive Master in Business of Events (EMBE) in academic collaboration with Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, and Scientific Director of FIFA Master (International Master in Humanities, Management and Law of Sports). Since 2015 he is Affiliate Professor of International Sports Management at Columbia University, New York (USA) and since 2018 Affiliate Professor at Josoor Institute, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Doha (Qatar).He supports projects in sports and events in an innovative way, such as: Javier Zanetti's management career, athletes as a brand for the National Basketball Players Association (USA), expert in the transition of players' careers for UEFA, managerial development of technical profiles in Italian soccer for FIGC Technical Sector, expert for the development of women's soccer for FIFPro, expert for UEFA licensing organizational criteria for FIGC, measurement of impacts of Giro d'Italia, development of sport in the territory for the Province of Trento, consultant for human capital development for Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Qatar 2022, board member of Vero Volley Consortium.He interviewed sports personalities and Olympic medalists on Leadership and Sport Management, including: Agassi, Buffon, Cordoba, Fontana, Phelps, Djordjevic, Leonardo, Scola, Zanetti, Webber. He developed a test measuring the winning mentality of athletes, he believes in the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect as a model of sustainable behavior in professional settings. He is married to Elisetta and father of Lorenzo. He loves to participate in charitable initiatives, he is president of Sport4Talent Foundation, a social project promoting sports as an educational tool for children in fragile situations also in Taranto, his hometown.
