Project Portfolio Manager
Current• Owns and oversees the governance structure to evaluate, authorize, and monitor projects as they pass through the project lifecycle• Responsible for decision-making process to select and prioritize projects within the portfolio• Directly responsible for the portfolio management process but indirectly responsible for portfolio performance• Identifies the optimal grouping of projects that maximize the risk- adjusted portfolio value at a given budgetary level• Optimizes the sequencing and timing of approved projects based on resource constraints and dependencies• Assesses the risk nature of projects and managing portfolio level risks Evaluates, measures, and tracks project benefits at the portfolio level• Project Monitoring Measures and tracks project health and performance• Project Portfolio Communication• Communicates about all aspects of project and portfolio progress• Project Portfolio Reporting and Analytics• Analyzes and reports against the value and progress of the portfolio• Updates the annual business plan with project spend profiles in order to secure funding for project execution• Leads the budget controlling aspect of the portfolio - includes evaluating project statuses, schedules, forecasts, actual spends to date, new project cost needs, and ultimately where to re-allocate funding between projects to ensure the annual spend targets are met.• Lead the effort for the quarterly financial capital reforecasts and annual operating plan.• Works with project sponsors & stakeholders to obtain scope, schedule, and budget information for each project.
