Market Landscape update: I researched 20+ companies and produced a "one page summary" for each, using a template I gave him. Roughly 1/3 of these were companies they had already been tracking, where I provided an "update"; the remainder he identified via web searches, or were suggested by the team, and me gave us a "first snapshot", pulled their websites, LinkedIn, Crunchbase, etc. As we are actively talking with prospective investors, this updated view - of competitors, potential competitors, "comparable", etc. - is very useful.Account Dashboard revival: This ran into a series of challenges, but we ultimately did achieve some early results. As we got into it, the CTO pointed out that, because of how the original "dashboard" had been built, we would have had to create a full development environment and code review process for me, which was not consistent with a short internship. I was able to get a part of a prototype working (querying one of our databases and retrieving results), which they will use to continue the project, probably later this year.
