 The role involves Portfolio Management Services (PMS), Investment Advisory & Executionary kind of accounts to be opened. This would include verification of all documents towards KYC (Individual & Non-Individual), ensuring scrutiny of applications, and bank account details for transfer of funds & final setup of the accounts on internal platform (MILES).  Various wealth products including Mutual Funds, Equity PMS Products, Structured Credit Funds, Alternate Investment Funds (AIF), Bank FDs & many more.  Using the platform called MILES which is used to enter all kinds of transaction details, maintaining the investor portfolios & generating statements/reports/MIS for investor usage & internal employee usage.  Coordination with various AMCs for the client’s statements & updation of client details be it FATCA, Aadhaar updation etc., on an ongoing basis.  Coordination with Registrars like CAMS & Karvy through whom we handle product (PMS) related operational issues pertaining to clients.  Timely renewals & tracking maturities of HNI Investments so as to reinvest the same.

Handling a team of off-roll employees who basically handle the front desk & back end activities for branches in Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh. These employees located in their respective branches, handle the day to day activities with regards to mutual fund applications being accepted & processed keeping compliance in place.Coordination with the local registrar ie., CAMS as well as their back office in Chennai (OMR Road) for all kinds of approvals required on day to day basis, related to financial & non-financial transactions. This would also include approvals with regards to payouts to be released & cases where signatures & other relevant checks made by my team are not clear in nature.The role also includes research & analysis of the best practices in the industry which can be planned, executed & implemented within the company so as to expedite the processes & reducing the turnaround time (TAT) for the same.Handling admin related issues of the branches in the region (Karnataka & AP), which includes payments towards rentals, phone bills, housekeeping, petty cash accounts, electricity & maintenance bills, logistics bills etc.Coordination with the head office, in case a new branch opening that includes selection of the location & setting up of the branch with all the facilities management for the same.Handling recruitment process of fresh off roll employees which again includes scanning of CVs & appropriate selection of the staff as per company’s requirements.On the whole, handling the operations of all the branches in the region (Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh) keeping compliance in mind.

Handling investor’s & distributor’s queries & to resolve the same with the help of eISC & CIMS (Customer Interaction Management System), where in interactions are logged in for follow-up, resolution & closure. Handling operational activities of the branch ie., in-house processing of transactions above 1 crore, with the help of eISC [e-Investor Service Center – Software developed by CAMS (Computer Age Management Services)] Handling the front desk activities which include scrutinizing the applications which are received at our end towards mutual fund investments from both investors & distributors. Cross selling of our mutual fund products (Different schemes which include Equity, Debt & Liquid Schemes) as per the investor/distributor requirement. Coordination with the relationship managers & distributors with respect to their client’s investments, month to date AUM data of the distributors etc.On the whole, handling the client service & operations segment of a mutual fund branch.
