I lead the Education and Government Practices at Athena covering end-to-end responsibilities of strategy, business development, delivery, and operations. Athena, with offices in India and Washington, D.C., alongside program hubs across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, lies at the intersection of the public and private sectors. I presently assist policy makers and development sector actors design data-backed policies and programs. Our service offerings span across 'Applied Decision Sciences', ‘Needs Assessment’, ‘Intervention Design’, ‘Monitoring and Evaluation’, ‘Behaviour Modelling’, and ‘Capacity Building’, among others, in both education and government practices.

Have transformed the company by:1. Creating a medium term strategy to scale up the company to ₹15 billion by 20232. Adding new business lines such as online testing (5 million candidates tested), assessment services, digital education 3. Executing the ₹2 billion global Study In India campaign of Government of India - the launch of which was done by Minister of External Affairs4. Executing multiple digital projects to transform education for several State Governments and also the Government of Mauritius 5. Creating the blueprint for multiple new institutes of national importance (IIM, IIT, IISER)6. Undertaking many process improvements and massive hiring - laterally as well as from leading campuses (IIMs, IIFT, etc)

Present position : As a senior Administrative Grade officer of Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), I am presently serving on deputation as Group General Manager (Finance) on RailTel Corporation of India. Present responsibilities:  Managing and reviewing revenue and capital budgeting process. Internal audit. Project appraisal. Costing  Investment/Infrastructure planning. Contract negotiations. Fund management and generation. ERP implementation & providing financial analysis reports. Interfacing with Ministries/PSUs/FIs/Govt. Departments/Large customers on investment/funding /billing issues.

As a member of Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), presently serving as Financial Advisor &Chief Accounts Officer (Finance& Budget) under Govt of India.  Funds mobilization  Devising Public-Private partnership models. Interfacing with corporates/govts./entities on investment and billing issues. .Providing periodic growth analysis reports. Planning, managing, monitoring and controlling income and expenditures in Oracle environment. Identifying and mitigating risks and developing contingency plan. Managing and reviewing revenue and capital budgeting process and annual plans. Project planning,analysis and control. Formulating Financial strategies.
