About Christopher Stone

Video game development veteran of nearly 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of working on some of the biggest, most successful franchises in the industry. Projects ranging from the original "Duke Nukem" to Directing the "Godfather" and "Lord of the Rings" film franchises for Electronic Arts. One of my more notable positions includes being one of the original creators and Animation Director of the original cult classic franchise “Dead Space.”Other career highlights include holding the position of Supervising Director of Animation and Performance Capture for the Call of Duty Franchise for nearly a decade. There I had the opportunity to direct talent such as “Last of Us” Troy Baker, "Transformers" Josh Duhamel, and Academy award winner Kevin Spacy. In addition to directing and choreographing all on stage capture, I also served “in studio” where I supervised a team of 30+ industry leading Animators. There I was solely responsible for maintaining visual quality and continuity of all animation assets from "Gameplay" and "AI" to in-game and fully rendered Cinematics. Following my departure from Call of Duty, I took a role with Sony Interactive Entertainment as Sr. Director of Animation, where I came onboard to help “final” the “Days Gone” project. As Sr Director I directed and managed both the cinematics and gameplay groups. For the term of my tenure I worked diligently to edit and refine all work done prior to my arrival to assure a strong story, compelling main character and a solid ship date in 2019. In June of that same year I was recruited by PUBG to help found “Striking Distance Studios,” their flagship studio in North America. There I held the role of Chief Creative Officer for nearly 5 years. As such, I was responsible for supervising and coordinating the studio’s creative leaders. Including leading the team in the development of the artistic aspects of all departments within the studio, including the studio’s image and values which I worked to uphold on a day to day basis. Currently I hold the role of Studio GM at Void Interactive. There I oversee the studio's daily operations and collaborate closely with the executive team to maintain quality and drive innovation across all ongoing projects. My role involves establishing the vision for new initiatives, setting short- and long-term strategic goals, and managing timelines to achieve successful commercial outcomes. Additionally, I prioritize company projects, and assist in managing studio budgets, while working to make strategic decisions to ensure the studio's overall health and success.
