I have over 35 years of international experience in commercial banking, asset management, fundraising and investment advisory services. Prior to founding Circlo3 Group, I have been active as a financial entrepreneur in asset management and advisory services to European clients since 2004. I began my career in Generale Bank Belgium before joining Barclays de Zoete Wedd in London as a project financier and subsequent roles in London and Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, as a Regional Head of Corporate and Project Finance, I decided to join UBS ending up in Singapore as Regional Head of Structured Finance of Asia Pacific. Subsequently, I moved to Dresdner Kleinwort Investment Banking in Singapore as Head of Global Finance for the Asia Pacific region and latterly in 2000 as Joint Head of Global Debt Origination and a member of the Executive Committee.In addition, I am the founder and main sponsor of Dare To Lead / Liyaba Rainbow Foundation - providing personal development for young black South Africans from challenging backgrounds, through teamwork and leadership experience gained during participation in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, and taking that leadership development message around the globe.

By creating the Dare To Lead Team partnership in 2017-18, of which he is the main sponsor, Mr van Daele has translated the core principles of the project into the first 'concept' team partner with the Clipper Race, to take the leadership development message to a global audience.
