I am mostly working from the Breda and Bergen op Zoom offices. As a Trainee Tax Advice, I support the Global Mobility team (international tax) of DRV.My activities are very varying and miscellaneous, which makes my work challenging. I draw up tax returns, contracts and agreements, handle correspondence with the Tax and Customs Administration and investigate tax issues. I also maintain contact with clients and provide brief advice. I’m working and studying at the same time, and I’ve already learned a great deal: from colleagues on the team, from my mentor, but also from members of the management and from the internal training courses and meetings.

During my traineeship at Global Tax Network, a former member firm of the Moore Global network, I was introduced to the US tax system and concepts that support global mobility clients. This resulted in a complete overview of the differences in perspective from both the Dutch and American point of view in the area of expatriates and foreign nationals.To achieve this, I worked on the preparation of US tax returns under the guidance of the tax professionals at Global Tax Network. Furthermore, I shadowed colleagues in the Accounting, Marketing, HR, and Business Development departments to get a complete overview of the services provided by a US Mobility Tax Services firm.
