Using developed c++ firmware code, I am working to simulate sensor behavior for full-image mode using python. Reports to DSP and Algorithms Developer.

Worked as one of the head summer camp councilors for 3 consecutive summers, helping with programming and planning for all 9 weeks. Led weekly recreation programs for kids aged 3-12. As a former competitive athlete for Trampoline Gymnastics, I was able to guide athletes to learn vital life skills such as perseverance, courage, and motivation in addition to having fun and learning new trampoline skills. Developed meaningful relationships between myself, the parents, and the athletes.

Worked to provide a foundational and accessible understanding of quantum physics for students in elementary and high school. Led presentations and workshops centered around Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), working directly with high school-level students. Led demonstrations about Ion Traps aimed to introduce elementary-level students to key Quantum Physics concepts. Developed a probabilistic QKD simulation by first measuring light intensity through a polarizer and wave guide. Using an Arduino and LEDs, I created a system to visually represent this intensity, programming it to reflect the randomness of QKD by having no LEDs light up. Created a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for students to use.

Worked on the Information Extraction (IE) project through the Data Science Team. Skillfully utilized Python to extract data—such as text and tables—from PDFs, CSVs, and other documents, creating a digital record for easier access to the information. Additionally, performed Natural Language Processing (NLP) on the extracted information for enhanced analysis.Successfully completed base testing for various Learning Language Models (LLMs) (i.e. Llama, Chat Gpt-4) though the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Created an efficient system to evaluate the accuracy of the LLMs.

Planned and executed the entirety of school-wide (warrior) orientation for approximately 7,000 incoming first-year students in September 2023 at the University of Waterloo. Held the position of co-lead for budget and swag.

Helped with simulation development. Worked on incorporating eclipse models to show how sunlight that reaches the solar cells on the satellite is affected by the shadows of the Moon and the Earth into the main simulation using MATLAB and Simulink.

Organized networking events for undergraduate and graduate women and gender minorities in the Faculty of Math to enhance their professional and academic careers. Successfully led campus-wide events in collaboration with other female-empowerment groups such as Women in Computer Science (WiCS) and Women in STEM (WiSTEM).Spearheaded the Directed Reading Program (DRP), an initiative that pairs undergraduates with graduate mentors to explore new topics in Mathematics. Organized meetings, ensured consistent progress tracking, created promotional materials, arranged presentations, and coordinated the next term's DRP.Established a Women in Mathematics (WiM) Undergraduate Committee to promote equality and foster community for women and gender minorities in the Faculty of Mathematics. Managed the application process, conducted interviews, and selected members while guiding them in event planning and promoting an inclusive environment for all students.Managed the WiM website and socials. Created a transition document to ensure smooth changeover between Program Coordinators.

Co-president of Students4Change, a club designed to raise awareness and enact change on pressing local and global issues such as poverty and climate change. Ran an annual food drive for 3 consecutive years, raising over 10,000 non-perishable food items, as well as +$1000 in monetary donations.
