During my tenure as a trainee from July 2023 to January 2024, I conducted comprehensive Socio-Economic and Occupational Health surveys in the Jharia Coalfield, Dhanbad. In the Socio-Economic Survey, I meticulously gathered data on the living conditions, income levels, and overall well-being of coal mine workers and their families, providing valuable insights into their socio-economic status. Simultaneously, in the Occupational Health Survey, I assessed the health status and working conditions of the workers, highlighting potential occupational hazards and health risks they face. My approach was thorough and methodical, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods to gather accurate data. My dedication and attention to detail were evident throughout the surveys, contributing significantly to the understanding of the socio-economic and health dynamics within the coal mining community.
