As a Solicitor at Norman Waterhouse I worked primarily in the Employment, Governance, and Regulatory Services team and assisted with matters in the Native Title team. Some of my key skills include drafting contracts, handling unfair dismissal applications, conducting a workplace investigation, drafting letters of allegations, and participating in conciliation conferences in the Fair Work Commission and the South Australian Employment Tribunal. I also conducted legal research and assisted with a Federal Court Case in the Native Title Team.

I was the lead researcher with the South Australian Law Reform Institute (SALRI) in their review of the Ageing and Adult Safeguarding Act (1995). I authored numerous chapters in the report, co-edited the full report, organised and facilitated consultations with interested parties within the government and the community, and conducted data analysis of the information gathered. The report was tabled in Parliament in early November 2022.I also assisted in the drafting of the Mental Health Act Review, which is due to be finalised in February 2023.

As a public law intern at the AAT I am able to sit in on hearings and conferences in the various divisions from the migration and refugee division, to social security, and general division. I also conduct research tasks for members, take notes in meetings and hearings, and better understand the inner workings of with the tribunal.
