Developing and implementing cutting-edge electrochemical bioanalysis and automated near-infrared spectroscopy methods for soil analysis, aimed at detecting life forms on Mars and assessing soil viability for future life, while sourcing materials and collaborating with experts to build and refine the rover's bioanalysis mechanisms. Collaborate extensively with software and mechanical engineering teams to fulfill rover missions which include life detection, retrieval and delivery, equipment servicing, and autonomous navigation. Representing UC Berkeley at the University Rover Challenge.

Equity Analyst on the Healthcare Pod, sourcing and pitching healthcare/biotech companies to invest BIG funds in.

Completed intensive 10-week intern program, learned market research/analysis, competitive analysis, financial modeling, valuation methodologies, thesis/variant perception generation.

Conducted Dr. Chris Anderson's pP6 cloning workflow in lab: PCR, primer design, gel electrophoresis, DNA cleanup, assembly, transformation, sequencing, basic computational biology analysis. Additionally learned about a variety of wet-lab and dry-lab techniques and discussed current computational & synthetic biology research.

Co-created research presentation: Assessing NF-kB Pathway Activity Using Genetically Engineered Yeast, proposing a mechanism for evaluating the impact of stress of immune function by modifying yeast to express GFP with NF-kB pathway activity, and integrated with salivary cortisol detection system. Presented at Cal Undergraduate Bioengineering Symposium, evaluated by BioE graduate students.
