I am an aspiring software engineer that has recently graduated from the Springboard Software Engineering course. I learned how to work with numerous technologies such as: JavaScript, Python, Flask, Jinja, NodeJS, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, HTML, and CSS. I also have experience with testing practices and implementing tests with Jasmine and Jest.I also created two major projects: MangaShelf, an application made with Flask and Jinja that allow users to favorite and comment on their favorite manga, and Weather Advisor, an application made with a ReactJS frontend and NodeJS backend that pulls data from two different APIs to provide weather data and relevant advice. I am flexible, adaptable and always trying to learn new things. Prior to this I earned a Bachelor's degree in English at the University of Delaware and a Cambridge Certificate for Teaching English Language for Adults. Ever the adventure seeker, I taught English in Tokyo, Japan for a year. Living alone in a new foreign country provided a lot of experience in adapting and being flexible. Upon returning to the U.S. I helped Title 1 students as a teacher through Learn IT systems.
