While at TrustArc I worked on both the Legal team and the client-facing Global Privacy Solutions (GPS) compliance team. In my role as Senior Counsel, I partnered internally to provide legal, product and policy advice to enable our organization to achieve its worldwide business goals responsibly, ethically and compliantly, including through helping manage our own privacy and data governance program. Specifically, I supported our GC and organization as the Legal lead for matters of EMEA privacy law, global digital advertising, marketing regulations, and the company's suite of consumer-facing SaaS-based technology solutions. I also negotiated an array of commercial agreements, assisted on certification and international regulatory matters, supported our CCPA efforts and other C-Suite business initiatives.My position entailed regularly interfacing with partners, law firms, vendors, policy groups and regulatory authorities, to enhance the privacy intelligence and functionality of TrustArc's solutions for customers around the world. Previously, as a member of the GPS team, I worked directly with companies on navigating ever-evolving privacy and data transfer issues. This was achieved in several ways, including via certifying clients' privacy programs against external privacy frameworks such as the APEC CBPR System, the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, and the EDAA/IAB Europe Online Behavioural Advertising (OBA) Framework.
