Included work both as a TA for undergraduate lectures and as a research assistant. TA duties included designing and grading class materials, aiding professor as needed, and hosting office hours and exam review sessions. Research was focused on coastal resilience assessments on sites in the Northeastern US and included literature review, processing and visualizing geospatial data, conducting aerial surveys, field data collection, lab work, numerical modeling, and report writing. Culminated in the completion of my Master's Thesis entitled, "Past and Future Storm-Driven Changes to a Dynamic Sandy Barrier System: Outer Cape Cod, MA."

Taught English classes at Liepaja University and Nica Viduskola for one academic year, while serving as a cultural ambassador as a part of the Fulbright Program.

Columbia, South Carolina Area

The research consists of testing sediments from southern Iraq for total organic carbon and inorganic carbon as well as C13 and O18 isotope analysis of ostracods and forams in the sediments to determine historic climatic variations of a site. The results between sites are then compared to develop a regional scale understanding of climatic variations and marine transgression and regression in Southern Iraq over the past several thousand years.

Hawaiian Islands

NSF funded summer research experience for undergraduates (REU) which involved using thermal imagery acquired via UAV to identify sites of submarine groundwater discharge on the North Shore of Oahu. Culminated in a written report and poster presentation at a summer symposium hosted by UH Manoa. The REU also included a variety of workshops and practical learning experiences including short courses in MATLAB and ArcGIS Pro as well as field visits to lava flows on the big island and a three-day expedition aboard the RV Kilo Moana.
