I lead the off-shore QA Teams in the end to end testing of our applications using a Scaled Agile Development Methodology. We use a combination of Automated and Manual Testing for our Functional, Regression, and Exploratory Testing. I plan and oversee the quality activities for our enterprise programs working closely with the service delivery leads and our global business partners on testing services. I plan the comprehensive joint test strategy to achieve our quality objectives. I develop and oversee the Test Strategy & Test Methodologies to meet the needs of our changing environment, architecture, and product offerings. I analyze data and quality metrics, recommend improvements, and drive cross-organizational quality improvements.

I was responsible for the quality of all software released in the US. I managed the Team, defined the structure, and put the process in place to be a successful QA Organization.I performed Functional, Integration, and Regression testing writing bugs and working with Developers to solve issues. I tracked bugs from initial receipt through final disposition. Bug goals needed to be met before the software could be released. I was responsible for tracking all bugs to ensure the release would be successful. I established checkpoints and barriers required to ensure that before the software was released, it was of the highest quality. I wrote & executed test cases to ensure that the full functionality of the feature was being exercised. Tested the functions across multiple operating systems and browsers. I also suggested software improvements and design changes to create a more satisfying user experience. I was brought into Westbrook Technologies because they needed a dramatic change to improve their software quality. They had a large QA Team, but poor software quality. Through my leadership and introduction of my standards we were able to significantly improve our product's quality. When we were purchased by DocuWare I brought these same qualities to the new organization and helped raise the level of our software’s quality.

I was brought in to build the QA Department for the newly formed company. Responsible for creating all procedures and departmental policies. Evaluated, installed, configured, and taught new employees our Bug Tracking (TestTrack Pro) and Automation tools (IBM/Rational Functional Tester). Lead Tester for our Java based BPEL Designer & Engine. I created Test Plans, Test Cases, Automated Scripts and manual tests to fully test the product. I worked closely with Development and Architect Leads to ensure the product was being tested thoroughly. Created sample applications in our software for use by QA & Documentation Teams. Assisted the QA Team with problem solving and Test Case creation. Performed database migration and upgrade testing. Created Test Clients needed to drive Test Cases. Created databases and sample data required for testing.

Lead Tester for the Java based Visual Modeling Environment product. Created Test Plans, Test Cases, and Time Estimates for testing features of the product. Created SilkTest and WinRunner Scripts to perform automated testing. Created test data and programs necessary to test the product. Created Databases and SQL statements needed for testing. Reviewed Functional Specification and Design Documents to ensure they provided enough detail on the feature for QA to use for testing. When they were lacking information met with the Developers to fill in the gaps. Led Test Plan/Test Case reviews. Taught new QA resource the product and worked as a mentor for all QA resources. Directed team resources on how to test features and assigning testing responsibilities. Wrote Knowledge Base Articles for specific features or workarounds of the product. Assisted with Customer issues and worked with the Customer, Development, and Architects to resolve issues.

Created Test Plans, Test Cases, Time Estimates and Risk Assessments for testing the features of the company’s Java based Internet Banking application. Used RSW Spider to create Automated Scripts. Manually tested the product and worked with developers to fix bugs. Created test data and small programs need for testing. Lead Test Plan/Test Case reviews. Worked closely with Development resources to ensure full test coverage of all product features. Reviewed Functional Specification and Design Documents to ensure they provided enough detail on the feature for QA to use for testing.

Testing the various applications developed for the use by our internal business users. Applications where developed in Visual Basic, C++, and PowerBuilder to meet the needs of the business. Used Rational TeamTest to write Automated Scripts for testing. I also manually tested the applications. Created Test Plans, Test Cases and Time Estimates. Led Test Plan and Test Case reviews. Worked with user focus groups to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the application. Created user presentation and assisted with user training of new applications. Worked with the Desktop Support team during the initial roll-out of a new application to resolve issues quickly.

Brought in to help test a new application they were developing for in-home nursing visits. Assisted in all phases of the product from manually testing the application to writing System and User Documentation. Worked with user groups to determine their needs and reported the results back to the developers. Assisted in the design of the UI for the application. Developed the online help system and created the training guides. Created Test Plans and Test Cases. Designed the deployment plan for the beta site, a Hospital in Florida and was their primary support person. It was a very small project so all involved worked outside their normal specialty areas to make the project succeed.

Tested the company’s PC, AS/400, and Hand Held device Route Accounting Software application. Manually tested the application and wrote up bugs. Created Test Plans and Test Cases. Developed online user help system using the WinHelp Office Suite. Wrote training manuals and taught training classes. Researched and resolved problems on PC, AS/400, and Hand Held version of the application. Installing and configuring hardware and software at the client site or for in-house testing use.
