Graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Veterinary Technology. Aside from the normal "I love animals" bit everyone expects, I do have a high level of passion for animals and their care is my utmost responsibility and desire. As a licensed Veterinary Technologist with most of my clinical experience from an emergency clinic, I have learned many things, but none more than compassion for both animals and the people that bring them in.I have worked in veterinary medicine for 10 years, eight of those being in an emergency clinic. My hours have spanned from nights and weekends, to early morning, to 16 hour shifts. Some of the skills I utilize frequently are time management, being thorough with both patients and clients, computer software navigation and use, calculating and administering a wide array of treatments, team training, communicating among the staff and clients in stressful and time sensitive situations, providing exceptional customer service, performing advanced technical skills, grief counseling, and advocating for patient comfort, safety, and quality of life.I love working in the emergency field and I am good at it. I can handle myself in stressful situations and keep a level head, which can be hard but is a necessary requirement. Learning from the challenges and accomplishments of my career have shaped me into someone that would thrive in any fast paced environment.Implementing these skills in combination with my dedication to work makes me a valuable addition to any team.
