A new role for the school, as Director of IT Integration I am now responsible for all aspects of IT throughout the school. We're in a good place, but it is time to up our game - we're implementing iSAMS, moving to greater tech availability in Elementary, bringing the ISTE standards into the conversation, ensuring a good standard of tech across the school in general, improving communications and professional learning opportunities and support, and working to ensure that our network and systems do not get in the way.

I am also the Director of Studies, working to develop vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum and pedagogical practice throughout the whole PreK-12 school. We are in the process of implementing the IBCP, we're about to start our journey to the IB MYP, we're slowly mapping our curriculum against the AERO standards, and we're also getting to grips with Universal Design for Learning principles. Lots of reflection taking place as we dive deeper and deeper into our MSA accreditation process and the action research whole school project we'll be working on for the next 3 years.

We are quite a unique school, occupying an old fort built by the British in the 1880s. This makes for an interesting environment, steeped in local history. Offering the IGCSE and the IBDP, we cater to the needs of a multi-national and multi-cultural student population.More as I settle into the school over the next few months.

I was responsible for all aspects of the Secondary school. We offered the IBDP, the IGCSE, and during my tenure I initiated the process of MYP authorisation. Successful projects included: a successful CIS/NEASC accreditation; achieving MYP Candidacy status; extending use of ManageBac throughout the school, upgrading our IT & data management systems and processes; upgrading our IT infrastructure; developing into a GAFE school; improving language and literacy levels; expanding our Mother Tongue programme; improving student leadership; increasing use of ICT in teaching & learning; development of curriculum documentation; creating opportunities for collaboration & professional growth; improving our CAS programme; increasing accountability; significantly improving relationships with our parent body; ensuring access to better technology and adequate resources; and more!I was also the Technology Director. I improved the quality of service and support; and led the process of upgrading our IT infrastructure to provide a network that was up-to-date and fit-for-purpose, including an external audit of the school's technological resources and services. I led the creation of an ICT Vision for the school.In addition, I created the whole school (preK-12) timetable each year; I was responsible for recruitment in Secondary; I re-vamped the school's admissions process, introducing OpenApply; I also taught DP Mathematics SL & HL and IGCSE ICT, and introduced a Lego Robotics Club.
