As a Geographic Specialist, I’ve completed projects ranging from: Master Address File/TIGER differences, Geocoded Resolution Project, and Duplicate Addresses Project.

As a Senior Matching Technician, I am responsible for making sure population and housing units are coded correctly, and in the correct Basic Collection Unit. I collaborate with the Analysts, leaving detailed comments within the software program, meeting all specified project deadlines.

As a Supervisory Cartographic Technician at the US Census Bureau National Processing Center, I track and monitor workflows for over 20 Cartographic Technicians, collaborate with Cartographic Technicians regarding the allocation and distribution of new work on projects ranging from Boundary Quality Assessment and Resolution Project, Voting Districts Project, Geographic Participant Project, Block Boundary Suggestion Project, and other related operations. I am responsible for time and attendance validation for work unit employees, communicating directly to the Payroll department. I also monitor work production rates for unit employees, approve employee leave, and collaborate with my Lead Cartographic Technician to resolve additional project related questions that the work unit encounters.

As a Cartographic Technician, I assisted other Cartographic Technicians by answering technical questions pertaining to the UR (Ungeocoded Resolution) project to better align our data for the upcoming decennial census.

As a Lead Cartographic Technician at the US Census Bureau NPC, I am a work unit leader for multiple projects specializing in the use of GIS data pertaining to boundary quality annexation reserve projects, block boundary suggestion projects, digitizing of boundary changes for state, county, incorporated places, and public lands. I lend assistance to the supervisor regarding employee T&A and work to ensure and work deadlines are met for the unit itself.

As a Cartographic Technician I use ArcGIS software and Census Bureau in-house GIS software programs to analyze and solve complex problems ranging from the correction of detailed county boundaries, consulting with county contacts to determine details, digitizing geographic updates based on detailed satellite imagery, and resolving data pertaining to public land boundaries that involve both national and state conserved areas.
