My name is Dayne Koch and I am currently a student at Missouri Western State University where I major in the Exercise Science program. I plan to pursue a doctorate in Physical Therapy upon receiving my bachelor's degree from MWSU. I currently work at Spine and Sport Physical Therapy as a technician where I have accumulated over 400 hours of PT observation. In my years of high school, I was valedictorian of my class. This has continued through college as I have been awarded a spot on the President's list for each semester of my college career with a 4.0 GPA. I am currently the president of the Exercise is Medicine on Campus at MWSU where we look to spread awareness of the concept of exercise as medicine while giving students and staff opportunities to practice these habits. I feel physical therapy is a much-needed profession in which I would truly enjoy working every day and be grateful for the chance to help others. This goal is why I feel I will be successful in my future plans. My hard-working and positive attitude has allowed me many opportunities that I am very grateful for. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends while participating in different physical activities daily. Each crazy opportunity that has popped up in my road has helped me to gain experience in leadership, communication, and other skills that have proved quite useful.
