I teach World History to 1500 and World History since 1500. In my courses, I highlight the creation of race, class, gender and how they evolved over time. I make sure to bring in current events and news to help elucidate and highlight the connections between the past and present.
Predoctoral Teaching Fellow
I taught Introduction to African American Studies and Black Masculinity fall 2013 and taught Introduction to Hip Hop Studies and African Americans in the Media in spring 2014. In addition, I was responsible for creating and sustaining new media and social media. Served on the committee for curriculum development as the department reworked course offerings.
