Obtained license to sell Health Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, Life Insurance and Annuity products in Illinois. Started the process of building a book of business and a customer base. Implemented the Project Management Office for the Systems organization (8000+ associates) and provided governance and direction for all the Information Technology project managers. Aggressively interviewed and staffed the PMO office with experience project managers, onboarding and introducing them to the State Farm processes and procedures. Internally established Project Management Professional (PMP) curriculum for uncertified new hires. Established a project management user group, partnering with local Fortune 500 corporations, bringing in guest speakers and diverse topics around project and portfolio management.
