Oversee all engineering and metrology activities within the organization. Activities include:- Design and build CMM measurement and CNC production fixtures.- Manage and oversee all measurement system activities.- Initiate continuous improvements projects and drive implementation by collaborating with multiple departments within the company.- Act as company resource for GD&T interpretation and analysis.- Manage the onboarding of new technology, such as software and production management systems.- Oversee all CMM programming activities.- Oversee the implementation of new automation.

Integrate automation as needed into manufacturing processes. Design work centers and manufacturing fixtures to drive efficiency, quality, and safety. Utilize CAD software, such as SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for design. Create CNC programs using Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software. Collaborate with multiple departments within the company to implement new ideas and processes. Design and create end of arm tooling (EOAT) for robots used in injection molding processes.

Establish and confirm that the quality management system conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements. Ensure the quality of D&H's vast array of manufactured components meets or exceeds customer expectations. Main tasks are to program a CMM ,use a Faro laser scanner, or use manual measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, or height gages to complete PPAPs or verify ECNs. Proficient with PCDMIS, and Polyworks. Also responsible for the calibration and documentation of a large amount of gages and specialty fixtures for checking parts.

Responsible for the layout of forgings pre and post production to verify that customer and engineering specifications are being met. Determine if customer requirements for heat treating are within tolerance (Brinell, Equotip). Also responsible for the calibration of various measuring tools (micrometers, measuring scales, gauges, etc).

Ensure forgings are being made are to proper specifications and dimensions in accordance with work instructions and blueprint. Check for signs of poor workmanship or defects and coordinate a corrective action with forge crew, supervision, and engineering if necessary. Periodically inspect forgings during production process and document information. Use knowledge of past manufacturing history of specific forgings to insure that any past problems are avoided.

Perform piping installations per client and Wisconsin State Plumbing Code. Also install and maintain plumbing fixtures and appliances.

Designed and installed piping and piping systems per Wisconsin State Plumbing Code and job blueprint. Met with other trades and coordinated piping to avoid conflict.
