I’m currently the Digital Trainer on the Digital Accessibility Compliance project at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.Utilising my expertise in digital accessibility, I have developed and continue to deliver a suite of training sessions covering web content, document, e-learning and web development accessibility, to meet the needs of our faculty and professional services colleagues.I am also a member of the Information Services directorate Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. I feel that I can bring to this position my experience supporting the needs of disabled individuals, as well as my lived experience of poor mental well-being.I am very grateful to be working with a project team of multi-disciplinary colleagues who are skilled and passionate about digital accessibility. I am regularly impressed and reassured by the strong focus that Strathclyde places on inclusion, and the continual efforts colleagues across campus make to improve the student and colleague experience.I am a Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA) having achieved both the IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) and Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) credentials. I also have a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction in Human-Computer Interaction from City, University of London, and a First Class degree in Batchelor of Arts in Computer Games Design: Story Development, from the University of East London.My previous career includes over eight years in internal recruitment for consultancy and public sector organisations, and almost five years in banking and insurance. I hold a First Class degree in Computer Games Design (Story Development), and Level 1 certificate in British Sign Language. I have strong IT skills and a keen interest in software development, and a passion for inclusive design and the applications of new technologies. I also have experience volunteering with Kith & Kids; a charity focused on social inclusion for autistic people and/or individuals with learning disabilities, and previously assisted as web developer/demonstrator for the Rix Centre; a charity exploring the benefits of new media for people with learning disabilities.I am not currently seeking a new position. However I am always happy to connect with likeminded creatives and former classmates and colleagues, and interested in new media collaborations.

We also go on outings such as the London Transport Museum and Alexandra Palace Boating Lake. Our members learn new skills, socialise with their peers in a safe environment, and above all have fun.In winter 2015 I assisted with training new volunteers for our Christmas project.
