About Daniel Mclaughlan
I’m currently the Digital Trainer on the Digital Accessibility Compliance project at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.Utilising my expertise in digital accessibility, I have developed and continue to deliver a suite of training sessions covering web content, document, e-learning and web development accessibility, to meet the needs of our faculty and professional services colleagues.I am also a member of the Information Services directorate Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. I hold a First Class degree in Computer Games Design (Story Development), and Level 1 certificate in British Sign Language. I have strong IT skills and a keen interest in software development, and a passion for inclusive design and the applications of new technologies. I also have experience volunteering with Kith & Kids; a charity focused on social inclusion for autistic people and/or individuals with learning disabilities, and previously assisted as web developer/demonstrator for the Rix Centre; a charity exploring the benefits of new media for people with learning disabilities.I am not currently seeking a new position.
