Led during COVID-19 pandemic as we spent 11 months learning through Zoom. Added one class per grade level 1st-5th grades and hired accordingly. Worked with leadership team as support for the division. Updated curriculum in literacy, math and thematic learning while staying true to the philosophy of the school.

My responsibilities include leading a lower school with over 200 students and 30 faculty members. My work with parents includes running book clubs and presenting at parent council meetings. Two major initiatives in my first year were Critical Friends Groups and Design Thinking.

Oversee lower school division, pre-k-5. Supervise faculty of 25. Developed Learning Support Team to formalize process for seeking modifications and evaluations for students. Designed a variety of professional development opportunities for faculty around learning diversity, family conferences, Reading and Writing Workshop, Critical Friends Groups and digital citizenship. Interview and coordinate hiring of teachers, assistant teachers and After School Director. Hold weekly parent gatherings to increase communication. Write monthly newsletter. Created and led homework task force which utilized data to better understand our homework practices. Created math task force which developed curriculum, benchmarks and assessments, K-8. Served on Board of Trustees Finance and Enrollment committees.

Assistant Principal with time divided between both elementary schools, K-3,within the district. Led site-based management teams in both buildings, formally evaluated faculty and provided professional development.

2nd, 3rd and 4th grade teacher. Also, building union representative. Completed my administrative internship at Norwood Ave. School.

I taught a multi-age classroom of 3rd and 4th grade students. I wrote the social studies curriculum for the school.
