About me? I have been married for 35 years to a wonderful, beautiful and most tolerant woman in this entire world! Tolerant as she lets me have all kinds of fun hobbies! I have 3 amazing children that coupled together with my wife, provide me everything a person could ever need or want in life. I am a sports enthusiast, and when I have free time, I enjoy cooking, a good mystery, trivia and occasional game of chess. I am light-hearted person and known to tell a good joke or two. Giving back is something I am also very passionate about. What about the IT person? At my core, I believe in applying trust, transparency, collaboration and a hard work ethic to every aspect of what I do as a Sales Architect. These are the critical foundational blocks for success in everything I do as a person, a business partner, for my company and for the customers we serve and/or want to serve. Company culture, which sets the environmental tone in which you operate in, is also a pivotal part of how successful you can become for your team, other teams and the clients you support. This mixture along with some other small ingredients has led to great success in my career. Don’t be fooled though that you must also learn from your failures. I am equally adept as both an individual contributor as well as a leader.My experience?I have been in the industry for almost 35 years spanning three companies; IBM, Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Verizon. I have re-invented my skill set several times over to ensure that they are as relevant tomorrow as they are today. My focus areas over the past 5 years have been with the virtualization of common network services (NFV/VNF) and MPLS. I have deep working and platform experience for most named vendors and I also have significant design experience that allows for new service stand up, integration into existing eco-systems, designed to meet business outcomes and cx goals. I routinely use analytics and data as the foundation of every design I develop. I have spent most of the past 10 years providing technology and architectural support to fortune 25 financial firms and supporting agencies such as Wells Fargo; BB&T and Bank of America. I have designed and implemented some of the world’s largest consumer networks which has allowed me to gain a full grasp on delivery models, reference architecture, ITIL framework and various support models including consumer enablement. Pulling out the archives, I know Frame Relay, ATM, Microwave and use to be a wiz on ROLM Networks and Novell platforms!
